The Jack Russell Terrier is a small dog originally bred for hunting. They have a short coat that requires little grooming. An intelligent dog they can be trained well. Not suitable for young children or other dogs, but make very loyal pets for owners. A dog with a high activity level, the Jack Russell Terrier needs regular exercise, or may become restless and destructive.
