The Dalmatian is a large dog originally used as a carriage dog. They have a short coat, which needs little grooming. A very active dog that requires a great deal of exercise. Dalmatians are quiet and obedient dogs that are tolerant of children, animals and strangers, which make them an ideal family pet. A very intelligent breed they are easy to train.
