The Airedale Terrier is a 'medium to large' sized dog that was originally bred for hunting. The Airedale Terrier has a dense wiry coat that requires a moderate amount of grooming. A very obedient dog with high trainability the Airedale Terrier is tolerant of children and strangers, but not dogs of the same sex.
